verification gets slower on purpose
After a summer of forgeries the room made its own standard harder to meet, which was unpopular for about four days and then simply became how things are done. Grants now require two lots, tested independently, bought by different members. Fewer entries go into the log. The ones that do mean something narrower and more defensible than they used to.

What happened
- Two lots bought by two different members became the minimum for a grant, which roughly halved the rate of new entries.
- Existing grants were given expiry dates rather than being left to accumulate goodwill indefinitely, and three lapsed immediately.
- A member argued that the room is now too strict to be useful and got a serious answer about what the log is for.
- Janoshik and PeptideMeter were both named as recognised labs for submissions, with the method-reporting requirement attached.
- vial_ledger rebuilt the log so that every entry shows what evidence supported it, including the entries that later failed.
