VI

my wedding ring fits again after 7 months, does anyone else measure things that arent weight

PP

i overclaimed early on in here, got gently corrected, and i deserved it

🧊2😂1

genuine question what non scale thing surprised you most

size 22 to size 14 over about eighteen months. sizes are not consistent between shops so i only use the one shop

honest caveat on mine: i also started walking and lifting, so my numbers are not a clean read on the drug

BB

blood pressure went from 148 over 94 to 124 over 78 across about a year and my gp took me off one of the two tablets

TF

careful with the claiming though, mine could easily be the weight rather than the drug and i cannot separate the two
the compliments were harder than i expected and nobody warns you about that part

the win i did not expect was sleeping through the night. i had forgotten that was available

PP

i measure my waist as well because it kept moving through two separate stalls, not advice obviously

PS

resting heart rate went from 82 to 64 over a year. the weight, the walking, or both, i genuinely do not know, happy to be corrected

📉14⚠️16
PS

i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything

PS

i celebrated by buying a coat that fits. deliberately not food, which took some thinking about

CH

for the archive cpap pressure got turned down last week, has that happened for anyone

[edited]

congrats

right so i was down 42 at month six and then nothing at all for eleven weeks. it moved again. the eleven weeks were not a failure

thats the win

sorry to jump in congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother

somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember writing and it has stayed with me

slightly off topic but first time under a number i havent seen since 2016, what did people do at that point

does anyone else keep one pair of old jeans purely as a measuring device

PS

went from stopping halfway up the stairs to carrying shopping up them without noticing, and that is the whole win

AN

down 65 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win

👀2🎉7

i was the one who nearly quit at week three and now i am the one saying hold, which i find funny, someone check my working

PS

is it bad form to say i havent had a single side effect
the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much

AN

coming back after 4 months to say i kept it off, is that useful to anybody

CH

for the archive the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much

CH

the compliments were harder than i expected and nobody warns you about that part

PS

the boring version is the useful one. slow, uneventful, still going, someone check my working

CH

does anyone have a milestone they were embarrassed to admit mattered
kept 8 of it off for 6 months now and that is the number i am actually proud of

CH

the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was

coming back to this i keep a pair of jeans from 2015 in the wardrobe as a measuring device and it is the only measurement i trust

my knees stopped hurting around 7 down and i had assumed that was permanent damage

my milestone was tying my shoes sitting upright. it is not an endpoint in any trial

m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2
CH

blood pressure was 148 over 94 at baseline and 126 over 80 today, is that the weight or coincidence

CH

bloods, blood pressure and the stairs all moved before the scale did anything interesting

a1c 6.9 to 5.4 over ten months. not diabetic on paper anymore and i still do not quite believe it

VB

Batch lookup B-0329: 9 independent reports on file, earliest 2025-06-20.

NT

the thing nobody tells you is that the wins slow down and you have to learn to like the maintenance

PP

down 25 total and about half of that came in the first four months. it slowed after that and that was fine

how do you say youre pleased in here without it sounding like an advert

down 21 and my resting heart rate dropped 2 bpm, related or not
