Highlights from this day
  • protein_floor — i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did 21:42
  • maintenance_mo — somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember writing and it has stayed with me, ill dig out the number 21:54
  • ring_size_down — careful with the claiming though, mine could easily be the weight rather than the drug and i cannot separate the two 22:41
SS

the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was, i could be wrong

slow is fine

i overclaimed early on in here, got gently corrected, and i deserved it, ask me again in a month

size 22 to size 14 over about eighteen months. sizes are not consistent between shops so i only use the one shop

first time under a number i havent seen since 2016, what did people do at that point

VB

Inter-lab diff for lot B-0329: 98.1% vs 97.4%. Within expected range.

SB

update on the earlier thing anyone else find the compliments harder to handle than the weight itself

does anyone have a milestone they were embarrassed to admit mattered

*that should say weekly

resting heart rate went from 82 to 64 over a year. the weight, the walking, or both, i genuinely do not know

RS

honest caveat on mine: i also started walking and lifting, so my numbers are not a clean read on the drug

how long did it take before you believed it was actually working

i celebrated by buying a coat that fits. deliberately not food, which took some thinking about

keep going

down 56 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win

the win i did not expect was sleeping through the night. i had forgotten that was available, still working it out

TT

hit 40 down this morning and im sat here not really feeling anything, is that normal

how do you say youre pleased in here without it sounding like an advert

TT

genuine question no side effects at all is a legitimate report and it belongs here as much as the hard ones do

PF

somebody talked me out of quitting at week three and i never said thank you properly

PF

i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did

MM

the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much

MM

somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember writing and it has stayed with me, ill dig out the number

⚠️1🧪12🤝2

follow up 12 down in 12 months and honestly the stairs were the bit that got me, not the scale

PF

coming back to this cpap pressure came down from 14 to 9 and the machine stopped waking me up in the night

i was the one who nearly quit at week three and now i am the one saying hold, which i find funny, thats one data point

PF

for the archive please say it. this channel exists for exactly this and nobody here is bored of hearing it

down 6 since 7 months ago, whats a sensible thing to celebrate at

[edited]

still here at month 14

📉1

blood pressure went from 148 over 94 to 124 over 78 across about a year and my gp took me off one of the two tablets, anyway

PP

the boring version is the useful one. slow, uneventful, still going, ill dig out the number

RS

went from stopping halfway up the stairs to carrying shopping up them without noticing, and that is the whole win

VL

my knees stopped hurting around 39 down and i had assumed that was permanent damage

quick one what non scale thing surprised you most

sorry to jump in does the room want the numbers or just the story

PP

down 68 total and about half of that came in the first four months. it slowed after that and that was fine

RS

my milestone was tying my shoes sitting upright. it is not an endpoint in any trial
kept 42 of it off for 3 months now and that is the number i am actually proud of

RS

nearly quit at week three, the nausea was awful, somebody here told me to hold rather than push. month 17 now

PP

half a stone in 22 weeks sounds slow written down and felt enormous while it was happening
