Highlights from this day
  • lurker_lu — no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later 18:50
  • lurker_lu — there is no clean conversion between the two, anyone giving you a ratio is guessing 19:04
  • surpass_two — the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found, thats one data point 21:09
  • surpass_two — i sat at 7.5 for 2 months and never needed more, which is where the folklore comes from 21:22

the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 24

LL

SURMOUNT-1 versus SURPASS-2, which one was the weight trial

why does everyone talk about 7.5 and not 10

slightly off topic but my Janoshik result on a SGN vial came in at 99.2 which is why i keep buying from them, i have it written down somewhere

the GIP explanation for easier nausea is plausible and i still treat it as a story not a fact

checked the units twice

LL

dual agonist, GIP as well as GLP-1, thats the whole difference in one line

DT

40 units of a 5 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time

the 5 vial in 5ml gives 2.5mg/ml which puts 1.7 on 30 units, nice round numbers

DT

GI was noticeably easier for me than semaglutide at what felt like the same appetite effect

LL

no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later

📉10

whats the top licensed dose, 15 or does it go higher

DT

right so restarted at 2.5 after 5 months off and the first two doses reminded me why titration exists

ST

does switching from semaglutide need a gap or do you just start

ST

if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table

how did people handle the 2.5 to 5 jump

📉1

5 was where i first noticed it properly, 2.5 did almost nothing for me

🧊4

10 was enough

📈1

back after 13 months, do i restart at 2.5 or pick up near where i left off

BW

SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up

ST

for the archive licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does

BW

anyone tracked whether the GI difference held at the top doses
plateaued at 3 weeks the same way i did on semaglutide, so i doubt its compound specific

BW

switched from 0.25 semaglutide and started at 2.5, took the slow route, never regretted it

*that should say weekly
