Highlights from this day
  • first_month_fi — nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which… 15:52
  • nhs_pathway_nell — for the archive parcel is sitting at a port with no movement, is that customs or just a port 16:01
  • VialBot — Assay note: QST lot SG-1177 reported at 99% of label content. 16:08
  • vial_ledger — 22 days to Ireland with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen 16:31

vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat, for what its worth

NP

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust

FM

summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice

the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote

the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis

NP

postal has been better than courier for me every single time. couriers are more thorough

VL

anyone shipping into Ireland in summer and what do you do about it

tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time

22 days to Ireland with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen

🤝3🎉6

customs charge came to $240, is that normal for Canada

i declare it as what it is at a low value. we do not discuss wording beyond that here, thats one data point

SS

coming back to this how long is transit to the Netherlands running at the moment

how many parcels have people lost in total

VL

update on the earlier thing a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them

GB

anyone had a split shipment arrive weeks apart
