Highlights from this day
  • taper_tess — tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time 11:34
  • back_from_away — reship policies vary enormously. WXT honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal 12:07
  • back_from_away — coming back to this split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing 12:56
  • non_scale_win — if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that, we shall see 14:55
  • site_itch — does GL Biochem actually honour a reship or is it decorative 16:40

has anyone had a parcel arrive after being marked as returned

BF

the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better

what does the room consider a normal transit time now

😂2🤝2🔥1

is it worth paying for a faster service or does customs eat the difference

do you use the same address every time

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust

MC

a seizure letter is usually the end of it. you have lost the parcel and that is almost always the whole consequence, not advice obviously

MC

anyone shipping into the UK in summer and what do you do about it

BF

i declare it as what it is at a low value. we do not discuss wording beyond that here, ask me again in a month

SS

the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote

SS

nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly, ymmv

SS

quick one is vat charged on the declared value or what they think it is worth

how many parcels have people lost in total

NS

if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that, we shall see

SI

18 days to Canada with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen

cold pack arrived warm after 23 days, does it matter

SS

paying for a faster service does not speed up customs. it speeds up the legs either side of customs

GB

update on the earlier thing tracking has been dark for 2 days, at what point do i worry

NS

signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss, i think

GB

anyone had a split shipment arrive weeks apart

SI

update from 20 months ago: New Zealand transit has got slower, consistently, across four orders

SI

winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which is a different problem from heat and gets discussed less

does GL Biochem actually honour a reship or is it decorative
