Highlights from this day
  • brisbane_bac — coming back to this vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong, anyway 21:59
  • birch_bloods — how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week 22:03
  • no_escrow_nate — is 2.4 the top or do people go past it 23:14
  • surpass_two — slightly off topic but thats STEP 1 23:24

five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt
20 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4

AA

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters, thats one data point

❤️17

right so is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping

❤️1🧊1😂7

restarted after 23 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time

plateaus move

went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down, happy to be corrected

💀10

held there too

MP

does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

LL

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me

went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step

BR

my VendorInvestigate report on the ERP vial came back 98.1 against a certificate saying 98.6

quick one does anyone actually run a five week step instead of four

did anyone hold at 7.5 longer than four weeks before going up

BB

STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it

same dose day

BR

slightly off topic but 8 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

slower worked better

thats STEP 1

the appetite effect faded for me around 11 months and going up fixed it for a while, ask me again in a month

2.4 is the ceiling

BB

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure

sorry to jump in STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers

❤️1
BB

$94 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials

held at 2.4 and lost 25lb over 14 months, slower than the trials and fine by me

how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week

💀13🔥4⚠️3

the plateau hit me at 17 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change

unrelated but anyone compared their 2.5 vial dosing against the pen increments

what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything

LL

sorry to jump in did anybody find a difference between WXT and pharmacy at the same 2.5

i held at 5 for 2 months and it was the best decision i made

how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7

⚠️1📉15🙏1

*VendorInvestigate not the other one

MP

ok so anyone gone from 15 straight to 1 or is that too big a jump

VB

right so was SURMOUNT-OSA the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

LL

did anyone titrate slower than four weeks a step and how did that go

[edited]

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 12, which is one person and nothing more

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

NE

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

ST

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

ST

SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial

changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels, ymmv

slightly off topic but thats STEP 1
