is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4

- mcg_not_mg — did anybody find a difference between BCH and pharmacy at the same 12 19:41
- provincial_pat — is 2.4 the top or do people go past it 21:47
- stack_sceptic — anyone gone from 15 straight to 7.5 or is that too big a jump 22:01
- snac_and_water — i stayed on 1.7 for 9 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it 22:19
€185 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials
SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial
restarted after 7 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time
lost about 34kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me
Reminder set. I will post here in 8 days.
vials not pens here
slightly off topic but STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers
SELECT wasnt weight
if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule
same dose day
Testing queue: 7 submissions open, 120 awaiting dispatch.
is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping
went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down
changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels, your mileage will differ
what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything
i held at 2 for 4 months and it was the best decision i made
not the same trial
slower worked better
did anybody find a difference between BCH and pharmacy at the same 12
did anyone titrate slower than four weeks a step and how did that go
seven days ish
unrelated but how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7
thats STEP 1
dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker
coming back to this licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me
does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life
anyone compared their 5 vial dosing against the pen increments
does anyone actually run a five week step instead of four
Testing queue: 2 submissions open, 39 awaiting dispatch.
mine faded too
did anyone hold at 0.5 longer than four weeks before going up
vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong
held there too
the plateau hit me at 24 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change
give it four weeks
*week 34 not week 6
how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week
[edited]STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
the appetite effect faded for me around 22 months and going up fixed it for a while, i think
2.4 is the ceiling
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
while im here whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers
slightly off topic but how many weeks before you noticed anything at 1
is 2.4 the top or do people go past it
*Janoshik not the other one
steady state takes weeks
anyone gone from 15 straight to 7.5 or is that too big a jump
update on the earlier thing my Medutest report on the ERP vial came back 97.4 against a certificate saying 98.1, i think
i stayed on 1.7 for 9 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it
25 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half
how long did the first 31kg take for people at the low doses
brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel
coming back to this my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem
[edited]half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
for the archive is the plateau at 23 weeks normal or am i doing something wrong
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
