months not weeks

- reta_low_dose — no side effects at all is a legitimate report and it belongs here as much as the hard ones do, from memory 21:40
- dublin_dose — ok so i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything 22:01
- dublin_dose — i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did 22:10
- reta_low_dose — i was down 46 at month six and then nothing at all for eleven weeks. it moved again. the eleven weeks were not a failure the win i did not expect was sleeping through… 22:37
- sol_sends — somebody talked me out of quitting at week three and i never said thank you properly 23:10
i celebrated by buying a coat that fits. deliberately not food, which took some thinking about
is it bad form to say i havent had a single side effect
how do you say youre pleased in here without it sounding like an advert
thats brilliant
the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much
half a stone in 8 weeks sounds slow written down and felt enormous while it was happening, your mileage will differ
brilliant a1c
does anyone have a milestone they were embarrassed to admit mattered
coming back after 14 months to say i kept it off, is that useful to anybody
kept 12 of it off for 19 months now and that is the number i am actually proud of
[edited]week three nearly finished me and im at month 24 now, does anyone want the boring version
does anyone else keep one pair of old jeans purely as a measuring device
bloods, blood pressure and the stairs all moved before the scale did anything interesting, i have it written down somewhere
no side effects at all is a legitimate report and it belongs here as much as the hard ones do, from memory
down 32 since 11 months ago, whats a sensible thing to celebrate at
please say it. this channel exists for exactly this and nobody here is bored of hearing it
keep going
sorry to jump in down 40 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win
coming back to this my knees stopped hurting and i genuinely did not expect that, has anyone had the same
the win i did not expect was sleeping through the night. i had forgotten that was available
congrats
ok so i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything
congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother
the stairs thing yeah
i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did
a1c 6.9 to 5.4 over ten months. not diabetic on paper anymore and i still do not quite believe it
a1c came back 5.6 from 6.9, can i be pleased about that or is it too early to say anything
size 22 to size 14 over about eighteen months. sizes are not consistent between shops so i only use the one shop
how do you celebrate this without it being about food
anyone else find the compliments harder to handle than the weight itself
honest caveat on mine: i also started walking and lifting, so my numbers are not a clean read on the drug
good bp move
for the archive SELECT reported roughly what i got, which surprised me, i had assumed the trial people all did better
my knees stopped hurting around 27 down and i had assumed that was permanent damage
thats not showing off
i was down 46 at month six and then nothing at all for eleven weeks. it moved again. the eleven weeks were not a failure
the win i did not expect was sleeping through the night. i had forgotten that was available
youre allowed to be pleased
i was the one who nearly quit at week three and now i am the one saying hold, which i find funny
does the room want the numbers or just the story
still here at month 14
love this channel
is it weird that the clothes size mattered more to me than the number did
thats a big drop
i measure my waist as well because it kept moving through two separate stalls
slow is fine
ring fitting is the best one
the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was
blood pressure was 148 over 94 at baseline and 126 over 80 today, is that the weight or coincidence
somebody talked me out of quitting at week three and i never said thank you properly
well done
thats the win
somebody thanked me a year later for a two line message i do not remember writing and it has stayed with me
i overclaimed early on in here, got gently corrected, and i deserved it
the boring version is the useful one. slow, uneventful, still going
blood pressure went from 148 over 94 to 124 over 78 across about a year and my gp took me off one of the two tablets
29 down in 4 months and honestly the stairs were the bit that got me, not the scale, anyway
the compliments were harder than i expected and nobody warns you about that part
down 52 and my resting heart rate dropped 8 bpm, related or not
