Highlights from this day
  • batch_variance — my milestone was tying my shoes sitting upright. it is not an endpoint in any trial 13:14
  • two_three_lifts — kept 43 of it off for 18 months now and that is the number i am actually proud of, thats one data point 14:38
  • a1c_lag — a1c came back 5.6 from 6.9, can i be pleased about that or is it too early to say anything i keep a pair of jeans from 2015 in the wardrobe as a measuring device and… 16:16
  • month_six_me — does anyone else keep one pair of old jeans purely as a measuring device 16:46
  • five_mg_ml — does the room want the numbers or just the story honest caveat on mine: i also started walking and lifting, so my numbers are not a clean read on the drug 16:56
SO

my knees stopped hurting and i genuinely did not expect that, has anyone had the same

FM

quick one the compliments were harder than i expected and nobody warns you about that part

SO

repeat sleep study came back better, has anyone else moved out of the range they were in

i want to say something in here but im worried about sounding like im showing off

size 22 to size 14 over about eighteen months. sizes are not consistent between shops so i only use the one shop

VV

the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was

👍3🎉6

sorry to jump in went up two flights of stairs without stopping and then had to sit down for a completely different reason

MS

nearly quit at week three, the nausea was awful, somebody here told me to hold rather than push. month 4 now, still working it out

down 35 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win

careful with the claiming though, mine could easily be the weight rather than the drug and i cannot separate the two

TT

the win i did not expect was sleeping through the night. i had forgotten that was available

TT

kept 43 of it off for 18 months now and that is the number i am actually proud of, thats one data point

MS

i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did

MS

down 61 total and about half of that came in the first four months. it slowed after that and that was fine

MS

genuine question the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much

15 down in 12 months and honestly the stairs were the bit that got me, not the scale

BV

coming back to this blood pressure was 148 over 94 at baseline and 126 over 80 today, is that the weight or coincidence

EM

week three nearly finished me and im at month 15 now, does anyone want the boring version

MS

my wedding ring fits again after 12 months, does anyone else measure things that arent weight

MS

coming back after 22 months to say i kept it off, is that useful to anybody

SO

please say it. this channel exists for exactly this and nobody here is bored of hearing it

bloods, blood pressure and the stairs all moved before the scale did anything interesting, for what its worth

A1

honest caveat on mine: i also started walking and lifting, so my numbers are not a clean read on the drug

MS

i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything

A1

a1c came back 5.6 from 6.9, can i be pleased about that or is it too early to say anything
i keep a pair of jeans from 2015 in the wardrobe as a measuring device and it is the only measurement i trust

MS

10kg is about 22lb and i still get that conversion wrong at least once a month
i keep a pair of jeans from 2015 in the wardrobe as a measuring device and it is the only measurement i trust

how do you celebrate this without it being about food

what non scale thing surprised you most

FM

resting heart rate went from 82 to 64 over a year. the weight, the walking, or both, i genuinely do not know

🤝9
FM

congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother

does the room want the numbers or just the story

TT

cpap pressure came down from 14 to 9 and the machine stopped waking me up in the night
