Highlights from this day
  • split_the_cost — the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number, i have it written down somewhere 21:11
  • ferritin_fay — 12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later 22:28
  • hk_hplc — my Medutest result on a SWB vial came in at 98.6 which is why i keep buying from them 23:27
RS

at 2.5 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up

RS

i went to 15 and came back to 10, more suppression wasnt more useful for me, take that with a pinch of salt

anyone got a 2.5 recon they like for the 30 vials

the 20 vial in 2ml gives 5mg/ml which puts 0.25 on 40 units, nice round numbers, thats just me

RS

changed my mind about needing 15, i was chasing a number rather than an outcome, take that with a pinch of salt

GIP plus GLP-1

is 7.5 really the sweet spot or is that just channel folklore

GI was noticeably easier for me than semaglutide at what felt like the same appetite effect

easier gi for me

does the appetite effect feel different or just stronger

i sat at 7.5 for 26 months and never needed more, which is where the folklore comes from

ST

the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number, i have it written down somewhere

LN

update on the earlier thing did anyone find the GI easier than semaglutide at an equivalent effect

HH

the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 20

NT

did going from 5 semaglutide to 5 of this feel like a step down for anyone

HH

whats the plateau pattern here, same as semaglutide or different

HH

switched from 0.25 semaglutide and started at 2.5, took the slow route, never regretted it

NT

slightly off topic but licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does, thats just me

FF

the 2.5 to 5 step was the roughest one for me and everything after was easier
the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 25

NT

at 12 my appetite went completely and i dropped back a step, eating nothing isnt a win

HH

how long before the dual thing was noticeable to you

NT

right so does the GIP arm actually explain the easier nausea or is that hand waving

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance

SURMOUNT is weight

NT

SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up, thats just me

FF

update on the earlier thing the trials titrated every four weeks to a target, most people here stop at whatever works

FF

12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later

40 units of a 2.5 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time

72 weeks, tirzepatide 5, 10 and 15mg against placebo.

titrate slow

LN

the GIP explanation for easier nausea is plausible and i still treat it as a story not a fact

LN

there is no clean conversion between the two, anyone giving you a ratio is guessing, thats just me

i argued the sweet spot was nonsense and then spent 19 months at 7.5 not needing more

LN

the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found

my Medutest result on a SWB vial came in at 98.6 which is why i keep buying from them

wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)
