how many weeks at 7.5 before you knew it was enough

- salt_bridge — at 2 my appetite went completely and i dropped back a step, eating nothing isnt a win 11:17
- is_this_forever — SURMOUNT-1 versus SURPASS-2, which one was the weight trial no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later 11:36
- tyne_tracks — the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 8 13:17
- is_this_forever — i went to 15 and came back to 10, more suppression wasnt more useful for me, someone check my working 19:06
- is_this_forever — im at 2 and thinking about 1.7, did anyone gain anything from that step 19:28
Assay note: GGPeps lot C-4402 reported at 97.4% of label content.
switched last year
at 2 my appetite went completely and i dropped back a step, eating nothing isnt a win
genuine question the GIP explanation for easier nausea is plausible and i still treat it as a story not a fact
SURMOUNT-1 versus SURPASS-2, which one was the weight trial
no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later
sorry to jump in does the GIP arm actually explain the easier nausea or is that hand waving
[edited]sorry to jump in coming off semaglutide, is there a conversion or do i restart at 2.5
dual agonist, GIP as well as GLP-1, thats the whole difference in one line, thats one data point
how did people handle the 2.5 to 5 jump
no clean conversion
checked the units twice
15 is the top
follow up held 10 for 14 months and lost 26kg over that stretch, slow and boring and fine
is the 40 vial the common one or do people use 20
unrelated but i sat at 7.5 for 11 months and never needed more, which is where the folklore comes from
is 7.5 really the sweet spot or is that just channel folklore
the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 8
wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)10 was enough
40 units of a 5 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time
sorry to jump in did anyone find the GI easier than semaglutide at an equivalent effect
[edited]GI was noticeably easier for me than semaglutide at what felt like the same appetite effect
GIP plus GLP-1
same plateau here
SURMOUNT is weight
i log everything and my appetite curve looks flatter across the week than my semaglutide log did
sorry to jump in is the sweet spot argument about effect or about side effects
SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up
plateaued at 15 weeks the same way i did on semaglutide, so i doubt its compound specific
the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number
5 did nothing
easier gi for me
7.5 gang
no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later
start low anyway
folklore probably
the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found
if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table
12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later
licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does
titrate slow
$185 for a 15 vial is roughly what ive paid for the last year, i think
the 40 vial in 2.5ml gives 8mg/ml which puts 5 on 8 units, nice round numbers
the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number
i went to 15 and came back to 10, more suppression wasnt more useful for me, someone check my working
changed my mind about needing 15, i was chasing a number rather than an outcome
im at 2 and thinking about 1.7, did anyone gain anything from that step
wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)
