is it the dose or the escalation that causes the nausea
#side-effects 2025-12-19
nobody here can tell you whether a symptom is serious. we can tell you the ones that are always worth checking
coming back to this has anyone had reflux specifically get worse rather than better
it does stop
coming back after 11 months off: do the side effects reset
my injection site itched for three days, normal
reflux getting worse is documented enough that it is worth mentioning to a prescriber
new severe right upper quadrant pain after fast weight loss is a get seen situation
if a side effect is new and severe rather than familiar and annoying, that is the line
i had gallstones confirmed on a scan after losing quickly. slow down if you can
dropping back a rung for a fortnight is a completely legitimate move, we shall see
let the alcohol dry before you inject. that alone fixes a lot of the stinging
site itching is common and rotation fixed it for most people i have seen post about it
week 26 and still nauseous, at what point is this not going to settle
protein
sulphur burps. is there anything at all that helps
i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free
four days. nothing. this is worse than the nausea was
welcome to the actual main side effect that nobody warns you about
everyone talks about nausea and then you spend a month constipated instead
what works
the boring ladder, in order of how boring it is
1. water - more than you think, spread out, not two litres at 9pm
2. fibre - soluble. psyllium or oats. add it slowly or you just bloat
3. magnesium - citrate or oxide, in the evening
4. movement - a walk after eating. genuinely
5. only then anything off a pharmacy shelf, and ask the pharmacistthe mechanism is the same one causing the nausea. slower transit, end to end
and if you also halve your food volume you have less bulk moving through. two effects stacking
so eating less makes it worse
eating less of the wrong things makes it worse. fibre and fluid are the first two things people drop
citrate over oxide if you can get it. oxide gave me cramps
opposite for me. citrate went straight through
fine. we disagree then
how much magnesium
not a number we hand out. read the tub and ask a pharmacist
the pharmacist answer is genuinely the right one, they will ask what else you take
started psyllium. one spoon, lots of water
*half a spoon. one spoon was a mistake
always half. always
unrelated but what are the sulphur burps people mention
you will know them when you get them
rotten egg burps. hydrogen sulphide, from things fermenting because they are sitting there too long
mine show up when i eat a lot of protein on a shot day
eggs and red meat set mine off specifically
and they usually arrive right before a bad GI day. mine are a warning shot
lovely
back to the bulk point — the people in here who never get constipated are mostly the ones who kept vegetable volume up while cutting calories
n of many, but yes
day 6, resolved. water and psyllium, that was all it took
usually is
putting all of this in my notes before i need it
