water first, then fibre, then magnesium, then a softener, then a pharmacist. in that order, for what its worth

TF

i keep a one line note per day. it is the only way i could see the pattern, anyway

it got better for me

TO

magnesium citrate worked for me where oxide did nothing. that might just be absorption

if a side effect is new and severe rather than familiar and annoying, that is the line

⚠️10

slightly off topic but protein and iron are worth checking if the hair thing is dragging on past six months

dropping back a rung for a fortnight is a completely legitimate move

SD

rotate the site

dose day = d0
0.25mg nothing much
0.50mg d1-d2 mild
1.00mg d1-d3 moderate
1.70mg d1-d2 moderate, d4 fine
2.40mg d1 rough, gone by d3

i had gallstones confirmed on a scan after losing quickly. slow down if you can

the hiccups are real, nobody knows why, they seem to fade after a few doses

RR

anyone get properly wiped out for a day or two after the dose
ginger did nothing for me and worked for two other people here. thats where the evidence is at

nobody here can tell you whether a symptom is serious. we can tell you the ones that are always worth checking

SD

site itching is common and rotation fixed it for most people i have seen post about it

severe persistent pain radiating to the back, or repeated vomiting you cannot keep water down through, is not a chat question

ok so has anyone had reflux specifically get worse rather than better

SD

a lot of what people call fatigue on this stuff turns out to be dehydration or undereating

MM

coming back to this reflux getting worse is documented enough that it is worth mentioning to a prescriber

MM

has anyone had a side effect that got worse at a lower dose
severe persistent pain radiating to the back, or repeated vomiting you cannot keep water down through, is not a chat question

the dose day matters more than the dose for the GI stuff, at least for me

dose day = d0
0.25mg nothing much
0.50mg d1-d2 mild
1.00mg d1-d3 moderate
1.70mg d1-d2 moderate, d4 fine
2.40mg d1 rough, gone by d3

right so i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free, from memory

update from 12 months ago: the nausea did settle, around week seven, completely
