Highlights from this day
  • red_flag_ruby — signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss, for what its worth 16:52
  • seizure_letter — customs charge came to €120, is that normal for Australia 17:22
  • triumph_watch — summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice, for what its worth 17:23
  • seizure_letter — a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust 19:02

no wording advice here

split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing

RS

a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them

RF

sorry to jump in if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that

TW

summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice, for what its worth

d0 label created
d2 accepted, origin
d4 departed origin
d6 in transit
d6-16 nothing at all
d17 arrived destination country
d19 customs cleared
d21 delivered

nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly

HS

coming back to this what happened when you queried a missing parcel with the supplier

HS

tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time

winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which is a different problem from heat and gets discussed less

update on the earlier thing the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis

SL

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust

unrelated but i have lost 6 parcels in three years across a lot of orders. that is the actual rate for me
