Highlights from this day
  • eat_more_please — follow up a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust 19:01
  • eat_more_please — what does the room consider a normal transit time now 19:03
  • eat_more_please — sorry to jump in the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote, n of 1 obviously 19:09

i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it happens

update from 12 months ago: Singapore transit has got slower, consistently, across four orders

right so customs charge came to £240, is that normal for the Netherlands

tracking has been dark for 2 days, at what point do i worry

EM

a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them

courier or postal service, which has been better for the UK

mine took 4 days

EM

postal has been better than courier for me every single time. couriers are more thorough, thats just me

no wording advice here

what does the room consider a normal transit time now

ok so paying for a faster service does not speed up customs. it speeds up the legs either side of customs

sorry to jump in the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote, n of 1 obviously

d0 label created
d2 accepted, origin
d4 departed origin
d6 in transit
d6-16 nothing at all
d17 arrived destination country
d19 customs cleared
d21 delivered

i declare it as what it is at a low value. we do not discuss wording beyond that here

declared value, do you go low or realistic
tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time

ports do that

how long is transit to Ireland running at the moment

BR

reship policies vary enormously. QST honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal

EM

if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that

a seizure letter is usually the end of it. you have lost the parcel and that is almost always the whole consequence
