Highlights from this day
  • step_one_sian — right so held at 1 and lost 83lb over 13 months, slower than the trials and fine by me 19:58
  • taper_tess — restarted after 7 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time 20:23
  • VialBot — Verification log updated: JEEP — evidence added, status unchanged. 21:19
  • apob_over_ldl — back after 23 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher 22:43
  • food_noise_off — unrelated but steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing 23:00

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

IT

changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels

SO

SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial, take that with a pinch of salt

FN

went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step, ill dig out the number

not the same trial

licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose

TT

whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers

is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

while im here anyone gone from 2 straight to 1.7 or is that too big a jump

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me

IT

7 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

sorry to jump in im at 5 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up

for the archive how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution

FN

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 1, which is one person and nothing more, i could be wrong

held there too

IT

went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down

did anyone hold at 12 longer than four weeks before going up

my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything

IT

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

LN

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

FN

lost about 33kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters

how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week
restarted after 14 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time

LN

five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt

STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it

VI

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

LN

the appetite effect faded for me around 8 months and going up fixed it for a while

VI

my 2 vial in 0.5ml gives 10mg/ml so 5 lands on 15 units, thats why i picked that volume

anyone compared their 10 vial dosing against the pen increments

EM

did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed

thats STEP 1

EM

the plateau hit me at 30 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change, i have it written down somewhere

AO

i stayed on 1.7 for 10 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it

IT

i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication, ask me again in a month

is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping

im 16 months in at 0.5 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing

TT

does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker
restarted after 2 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time

AO

back after 23 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher

TT

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

unrelated but steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing

EM

was STEP 4 the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

2.4 is the ceiling
