anyone compared their 5 vial dosing against the pen increments

- step_one_sian — the plateau hit me at 2 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change 18:50
- u100_pat — how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week 19:25
- apnoea_down_two — FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure 20:58
- apnoea_down_two — is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping 21:13
- halifax_hplc — STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it 21:34
im 24 months in at 2 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing
half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
seven days ish
did anyone hold at 0.25 longer than four weeks before going up
the plateau hit me at 2 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change
coming back to this i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication
steady state takes weeks
*week 18 not week 6
is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4
[edited]my 15 vial in 0.5ml gives 10mg/ml so 15 lands on 12 units, thats why i picked that volume
held at 2.5 and lost 85lb over 4 months, slower than the trials and fine by me
how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgwhat did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything
steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing
was STEP 4 the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
Testing queue: 7 submissions open, 88 awaiting dispatch.
how many weeks before you noticed anything at 10
held there too
my PeptideMeter report on the GL Biochem vial came back 99.2 against a certificate saying 97.4
sorry to jump in does anyone actually run a five week step instead of four
plateaus move
if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule
genuine question 23 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half
went too fast once
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
the appetite effect faded for me around 2 months and going up fixed it for a while
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
im at 0.25 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up
follow up STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers
the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip
moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me
slightly off topic but i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping
is 2.4 the top or do people go past it
for the archive restarted after 21 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time
FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure
lost about 24kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me
is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping
is the plateau at 21 weeks normal or am i doing something wrong
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels
STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
not the same trial
thats STEP 1
vials not pens here
£38 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials
mine faded too
[edited]give it four weeks
ok so does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt
