slower worked better

- rezept_rolf — went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down, happy to be corrected 13:40
- chlorhex — the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing 13:59
- slow.taper — if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule 15:40
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt
is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping
the appetite effect faded for me around 26 months and going up fixed it for a while, i think
17 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half, your mileage will differ
does the licensed ceiling for weight differ from the diabetes one
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker
give it four weeks
update on the earlier thing anyone compared their 4 vial dosing against the pen increments
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels
went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down, happy to be corrected
anyone gone from 2.5 straight to 0.25 or is that too big a jump
the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing
my Medutest report on the SSA vial came back 99.2 against a certificate saying 99
back after 17 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher
compounded and brand felt the same to me at 0.25, which is one person and nothing more
my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem
i stayed on 1.7 for 2 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it
steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing, not advice obviously
seven days ish
FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure
held at 15 and lost 47lb over 3 months, slower than the trials and fine by me
thats STEP 1
€72 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials
if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule
lost about 18kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me
im 23 months in at 1.7 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing
is the plateau at 18 weeks normal or am i doing something wrong
vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong, still working it out
what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything
mine faded too
New independent result logged — ERP, lot G-0641, purity 96.8% (Medutest).
same dose day
i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel
held there too
2.4 is the ceiling
was FLOW the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up
not the same trial
did anybody find a difference between QST and pharmacy at the same 5
i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication
STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
coming back to this did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed
half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
i held at 2.4 for 9 months and it was the best decision i made
went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step, still working it out
