plateaus move

- oasis_ola — STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping 18:05
- chlorhex — follow up anyone compared their 8 vial dosing against the pen increments 19:19
- vialkeeper — dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters 20:08
- mag_citrate — the plateau hit me at 19 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth… 20:11
- vialkeeper — my 40 vial in 2ml gives 2mg/ml so 12 lands on 50 units, thats why i picked that volume 20:18
moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me
steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing
did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed
half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
while im here STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers
my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem
STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping
SELECT wasnt weight
same dose day
the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing
2.4 is the ceiling
sorry to jump in was STEP 4 the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up
compounded and brand felt the same to me at 2.5, which is one person and nothing more
my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything
STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
follow up anyone compared their 8 vial dosing against the pen increments
does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker
what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything
vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong
lost about 8kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me
is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4
anyone gone from 15 straight to 12 or is that too big a jump
going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication
dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt, n of 1 obviously
SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial
the plateau hit me at 19 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change
the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
does anyone actually run a five week step instead of four
SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial
my 40 vial in 2ml gives 2mg/ml so 12 lands on 50 units, thats why i picked that volume
thats STEP 1
i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
the appetite effect faded for me around 22 months and going up fixed it for a while
quick one im 6 months in at 5 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing
went too fast once
