smaller steps here

Cited study
Triple–Hormone-Receptor Agonist Retatrutide for Obesity — A Phase 2 Trial
New England Journal of Medicine · 2023
48 weeks, dose-ranging. A Phase 2 result is not a safety record.

MM

Medutest came back 97.4 on one lot and 96.8 on the next from the same HJ, both fine

MM

blood pressure stayed flat for me while heart rate moved, which i didnt expect, thats just me

📉5

stepping in 2.4 increments instead of doubling is the only thing i would change if i started again
TRIUMPH is the phase 3 programme, thats the name to search rather than the molecule

there is no long term safety data, phase 2 and an ongoing phase 3 programme is what exists

LO

is there any long term safety data at all or is it phase 2 and hope

💀6

mine went up too

BR

the phase 2 weight result was larger than what the earlier agonists reported, in a smaller shorter trial, i think

VB

Digest for the week of 2025-08-26 has been published.

BR

for the archive buying this is a completely different risk conversation from the licensed compounds and that gets said too rarely

lost 25kg over 24 months at doses well under what the trials used

glucagon is the new bit

LO

the purity spread across lots worries me more than the molecule does

PT

energy expenditure isnt something i could feel, though my sleep tracker disagreed with me

⚠️1
PT

research use only is on every vial and i treat it as exactly that, nobody here is prescribing

*that should say weekly

how do people square the research use only framing with logging their own use

did the phase 2 plateau or was it still moving at the end

PS

is TRIUMPH the phase 3 programme
i went up too fast, got a fortnight of nothing but nausea, and dropped back two steps

BR

unrelated but the heart rate thing is real enough that i mention it whenever someone asks about starting, thats one data point

BR

triple agonist, GLP-1 and GIP and glucagon. the glucagon arm is the part with no long history
buying this is a completely different risk conversation from the licensed compounds and that gets said too rarely

📈13🧪12

genuine question GI was about the same as tirzepatide for me, the difference was how fast it arrived

i went up too fast, got a fortnight of nothing but nausea, and dropped back two steps

TRIUMPH is phase 3

baseline 58
wk 2 61
wk 4 64
wk 6 67
wk 8 66
wk 10 65 (held dose from wk 7)
TA

the glucagon arm is the mechanistic story for extra energy expenditure and its still a story to me

appetite suppression at 1.7 was stronger than my tirzepatide experience at a comparable point

📈17
BR

low and slow here means smaller steps than i ever used on tirzepatide, thats the received wisdom

TA

people insist on small steps because the side effects arrive faster than on the other two

*PeptideMeter not the other one

RO

does the glucagon arm explain the heart rate or is that unrelated

RO

is the GI worse than tirzepatide or about the same

AA

triple agonist meaning GLP-1, GIP and glucagon, have i got that right
energy expenditure isnt something i could feel, though my sleep tracker disagreed with me

BB

my resting rate went up 9 bpm in the first month and came back most of the way by month 23

TW

nobody should read my log as a plan, im recording what i did and thats all it is

😂12🔥14

cant feel it honestly

SS

sat at 12 for 8 months rather than climbing and it kept working, so i never went up

TW

the half life supports weekly dosing and thats what ive done from the start

research use only

MM

coming back to this reconstituted the 2 vial to 4mg/ml specifically so i could take 7.5 without measuring crumbs

SS

i log resting heart rate every morning because of this and its the one number i actually watch

*Medutest not the other one
