Highlights from this day
  • blank_run — always. means hide the tails and the tails are the people who need to pay attention 21:52
  • mg_per_ml — back — also caffeine. two people posted alarming HR jumps last year and both had doubled their coffee because food had stopped being interesting 22:56
  • the_bet_2026 — guilty. that was probably 3 of my 13 23:27
  • mg_per_ml — the most honest sentence in the archive 23:58

follow up how do people square the research use only framing with logging their own use
the honest position is this has less human evidence behind it than anything else discussed here

whats the half life like, is it weekly the same way

AA

reconstituted the 30 vial to 2mg/ml specifically so i could take 1 without measuring crumbs

anyone compared their VendorInvestigate purity across two different KP lots

AO

stopped for 3 months and restarted at half my old dose, the ramp was easier second time

BR

in the phase 2 the mean increase was a few beats per minute, largest around the middle of the trial and smaller by week 48

so it went up and then partly came back while people stayed on drug

BR

glucagon receptor agonism raises heart rate. it is not a mystery finding, it is expected from the mechanism

BR

GLP-1 agonists also nudge it up a little on their own, so you are stacking two small effects

TB

mine went from resting 58 to resting 71 over about ten weeks and that got my attention fast

TB

no it isnt. thats why i held the dose for two months instead of climbing

MP

and the mean hides exactly that. a mean of four means somebody got twelve

BR

always. means hide the tails and the tails are the people who need to pay attention

QH

worth saying: a persistent double digit resting HR rise is a talk to a doctor thing, not a chat thing

MP

first thing on waking, before sitting up, three days in a row, same device

a watch overnight average is fine for trend but the absolute number will differ from a cuff

BR

the GLP-1 side tends to lower systolic a bit. glucagon pushing HR up while BP drifts down is a fairly common pattern in the logs here

TB

thats exactly what mine did, systolic came down 8 or 9 and HR went up

BR

physiologically its coherent. different mechanisms, different directions

MP

back — also caffeine. two people posted alarming HR jumps last year and both had doubled their coffee because food had stopped being interesting

TB

during. it climbed with the dose and then partly settled once i stopped climbing, which is what @blank_run said would happen

BR

i said what the trial mean did. yours doing the same thing is a coincidence i will happily take credit for
