Highlights from this day
  • eight_mm — swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back 19:03
  • mg_per_ml — 20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy 19:26
  • eight_mm — gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number 20:26

im getting bubbles in the barrel every single time, what am i doing wrong

CC

update from 1 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since

why does everyone say 2ml specifically and not 1ml
i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths

thats the vacuum

MP

quick one a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not, i could be wrong

yep 10 units

it should be completely clear with no floaters. cloudy means stop

i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists

do not add more bac water to an already reconstituted vial, you have lost track of the concentration
5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose

my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am

EE

my 10mg vial weighed 11.4g on the jewellery scale, is that wrong

WV

you can absolutely just always use 2ml, and honestly most of us should

swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back

do you draw up with the same pin you inject with

nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing, not advice obviously

MP

ok so do i swirl for a specific length of time or just until its clear

20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy

update on the earlier thing if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space, thats just me

AA

the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol

EE

whats the smallest volume you would trust yourself to measure on a u100

swirl dont shake

anyone got a photo of what a properly dissolved vial looks like

CC

dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month

while im here is the meniscus reading actually a real source of error or am i overthinking

CC

30mg in 3ml is 10mg/ml, so 5mg is 50 units. half the barrel, feels like a lot but its right

if i add 1.5ml to a 30mg vial what concentration am i actually at
