#reconstitution 2026-04-01

Wednesday50 messages12 participantstimes are UTC
Highlights from this day
  • noct.titrate — 10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use 16:47
  • turnaround_tam — my 10mg vial weighed 11.4g on the jewellery scale, is that wrong 17:34
  • turnaround_tam — what do you do with the last 5 units when you cant draw them cleanly 17:48
  • vialkeeper — if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7 19:26
  • auckland_aliquot — do you draw up with the same pin you inject with 19:38

if i add 3ml to a 15mg vial what concentration am i actually at

check your maths

thats 5mg/ml

PT

ok so my vial pulled the water in on its own, is that the vacuum or did i do something

how much do i lose to dead space with a 29G pin

label the vial

NT

gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number

AA

i swirl for about thirty seconds and then leave it. never had one fail to dissolve, i think

AA

update from 14 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since

do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold

10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use

👀14😂8

swirl dont shake

TT

bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all

OO

does benzyl alcohol matter if im finishing the vial in one go
the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol

TT

my 10mg vial weighed 11.4g on the jewellery scale, is that wrong

what do you do with the last 5 units when you cant draw them cleanly

DE

i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume

MO

label the date too. you will not remember which vial is which by week 6, ask me again in a month

*Medutest not the other one

how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not

DE

unrelated but is a slightly cloudy solution ever ok or is that always a bin it

MO

swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back

DE

lyophilised powder is far more robust than people think. it is the solution that is fragile, your mileage will differ

a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not, take that with a pinch of salt

💀5📉5🙏2
VB

New independent result logged — WXT, lot C-4402, purity 98.1% (VendorInvestigate).

clear or bin it

bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 9 weeks

thats the vacuum

RR

sanity check my maths before i pin myself with something stupid

i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it

too dilute imo

🎉1😂14
RR

the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

VI

the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol
a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not

AA

quick one temperature of the diluent does not matter. how fast you push it in does

AA

slightly off topic but benzyl alcohol is what makes it bacteriostatic. it is about 0.9% typically, still working it out

does temperature of the bac water matter at all
