Highlights from this day
  • week_three_wall — follow up dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month 10:04
  • nhs_pathway_nell — quick one 15mg in 3ml is 5mg/ml. same numbers as 10 in 2, just more of it 10:51

one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that, for what its worth

label the date too. you will not remember which vial is which by week 15

FD

swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back

SB

it should be completely clear with no floaters. cloudy means stop, i think

bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all

NP

5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose

right so took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience, i think

read it at eye level

thats 5mg/ml

sorry to jump in my vial pulled the water in on its own, is that the vacuum or did i do something

nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing

*Medutest not the other one

is it normal for the cake to look slightly collapsed on one side

pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick
gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number

bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 7 weeks

foam is bad

FA

slightly off topic but my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am

the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way

20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy

update on the earlier thing give it 3 minutes at room temperature before you decide it has not dissolved

write the date on

if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7

weighing the vial before you reconstitute is the only way to catch an underfill
