aim the diluent at the glass wall, not at the powder. it goes in gentler
bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 8 weeks
30mg in 3ml is 10mg/ml, so 5mg is 50 units. half the barrel, feels like a lot but its right
follow up does it matter if i inject the bac water straight at the powder
10mg in 2ml is 5mg/ml. so 0.5mg is 0.1ml which is 10 units on a u100
5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose, not advice obviously

i was wrong about this last year: it is fine to draw cold, it just stings more going in, anyway
pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick

the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol

U-100 syringe: 1 unit = 0.01 ml
10u = 0.10 ml
25u = 0.25 ml
50u = 0.50 ml
100u = 1.00 ml
mg drawn = ml drawn x mg/mlclear or bin it
unrelated but a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with
if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7
is the meniscus reading actually a real source of error or am i overthinking

my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am, i think
dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month

update from 18 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since, ill dig out the number
it should be completely clear with no floaters. cloudy means stop
swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back
does benzyl alcohol matter if im finishing the vial in one go
a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not

why does everyone say 2ml specifically and not 1ml
20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy
the jewellery scale is a good habit but calibrate it, they drift badly
i swirl for about thirty seconds and then leave it. never had one fail to dissolve, for what its worth
