Highlights from this day
  • c18_column — do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number 09:57
  • gall_bladder_gav — if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space, i think 10:47
  • gall_bladder_gav — bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all, happy to be corrected 14:09
  • c18_column — dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month 14:22
  • first_vial_finn — if you cannot read the mark confidently, your volume is too small. redo it at a lower concentration, happy to be corrected 14:23

quick one is it normal for the cake to look slightly collapsed on one side

GB

aim the diluent at the glass wall, not at the powder. it goes in gentler, thats one data point

GG

swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back

GG

give it 3 minutes at room temperature before you decide it has not dissolved, happy to be corrected

benzyl alcohol is what makes it bacteriostatic. it is about 0.9% typically

[edited]

label the date too. you will not remember which vial is which by week 4

a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with

it foamed. is it ruined

[edited]
BS

nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing

GB

the jewellery scale is a good habit but calibrate it, they drift badly

dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month
