Thursday17 messages4 participantstimes are UTC
Highlights from this day
  • tb500_tobias — quick one lyophilised powder is far more robust than people think. it is the solution that is fragile 16:34
  • endotoxin_ed — it should be completely clear with no floaters. cloudy means stop 16:36
  • tb500_tobias — gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number, i have it written down somewhere 17:18
  • vienna_vial — if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7, your mileage will differ 20:58
  • vienna_vial — update on the earlier thing do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold 21:00

the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol

T5

is it worth buying a 3ml syringe for the diluent or is the insulin one fine

the powder is stuck to the stopper, do i care

temperature of the diluent does not matter. how fast you push it in does

gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number, i have it written down somewhere

while im here 15mg in 3ml is 5mg/ml. same numbers as 10 in 2, just more of it

VV

one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that

HM

swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back

EE

pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick

VV

if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7, your mileage will differ

update on the earlier thing do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold
