- private_script_pri — bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 5 weeks 12:28
- VialBot — Assay note: SSA lot B-0329 reported at 96.8% of label content. 13:27
- factory_direct_fi — 10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way 13:47
- five_mg_ml — slightly off topic but i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume 15:12
- septum_sal — what do you do with the last 12 units when you cant draw them cleanly 15:14
too dilute imo
Assay note: SSA lot B-0329 reported at 96.8% of label content.
foam is bad
pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick
thats 5mg/ml
5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose
10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use
the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way
thats fine
swirl dont shake
i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths
give it 7 minutes at room temperature before you decide it has not dissolved
read it at eye level
is it worth buying a 3ml syringe for the diluent or is the insulin one fine
if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space
a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with
my 10mg vial weighed 11.4g on the jewellery scale, is that wrong
one unit is 0.01ml
i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it
how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not
coming back after 22 months, has the pinned recon volume advice changed
slightly off topic but i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume
what do you do with the last 12 units when you cant draw them cleanly
