  • factory_direct_fi — 10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way 13:47
  • five_mg_ml — slightly off topic but i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume 15:12
  • septum_sal — what do you do with the last 12 units when you cant draw them cleanly 15:14

Assay note: SSA lot B-0329 reported at 96.8% of label content.

PP

5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose

FD

10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use
the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way

i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths

give it 7 minutes at room temperature before you decide it has not dissolved

read it at eye level

is it worth buying a 3ml syringe for the diluent or is the insulin one fine

VV

if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space

BR

a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with

VV

my 10mg vial weighed 11.4g on the jewellery scale, is that wrong

SS

i write the mg/ml on the vial with a sharpie the moment i reconstitute it

how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not

coming back after 22 months, has the pinned recon volume advice changed

FM

slightly off topic but i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume

SS

what do you do with the last 12 units when you cant draw them cleanly
