- alt_ast_ali — my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am 19:45
- cat_on_the_tray — i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths 20:38
- identity_shift — 10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use 21:19
- identity_shift — do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold 21:20

my 10mg vial weighed 11.4g on the jewellery scale, is that wrong
bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all
sanity check my maths before i pin myself with something stupid
if you cannot read the mark confidently, your volume is too small. redo it at a lower concentration
what do you do with the last 12 units when you cant draw them cleanly
one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that, happy to be corrected
update from 15 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since
a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with
20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy
i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths
slightly off topic but does benzyl alcohol matter if im finishing the vial in one go
update on the earlier thing 10mg in 2ml is 5mg/ml. so 0.5mg is 0.1ml which is 10 units on a u100
how long after reconstituting before its actually dissolved
bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 5 weeks
is a slightly cloudy solution ever ok or is that always a bin it
[edited]*that should say weekly
10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use
do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold
im getting bubbles in the barrel every single time, what am i doing wrong
*VendorInvestigate not the other one

weigh it first

is it normal for the cake to look slightly collapsed on one side
dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month, we shall see
