my weekly log on oral is noisier than my injectable log ever was, same scales same mornings

- dublin_dose — slightly off topic but did anyone find the oral easier on the gut than the injection 11:28
- dublin_dose — the non peptide agents dose daily without the water ritual, thats the practical difference the fasting window is the difference between a dose and a very expensive… 12:38
- lean_mass_lex — roughly one percent gets absorbed, which is why the tablet strength looks nothing like an injectable dose OASIS ran under the same sort of fasting conditions, thats… 12:53
is the non peptide thing why orforglipron doesnt need the fasting rules
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
SNAC raises the local pH and protects it long enough to cross, thats its whole job
how long before the oral did anything measurable for you
orforglipron is a small molecule rather than a peptide, which is why the fasting conditions differ
switched from injectable to oral, lost some of the effect, switched back after 17 months
thirty minutes, no cheating
set a timer
tea also does not count, in case anyone was hoping, anyway
the inconsistency is mostly technique and admitting that took me about a year, we shall see
oral was easier on my gut than injecting at what felt like a similar effect, which surprised me, we shall see
i was wrong about the water amount, i was using a sip and it needs a lot more than that
big mg small dose
fasted every morning
coffee doesnt count
PIONEER not OASIS
not a peptide
technique probably
why is the oral dose in mg so much bigger than the injectable one
coming back to this absorption is the variable, not the molecule. same tablet, different morning, different result
Digest for the week of 2024-10-05 has been published.
slightly off topic but does the 30 minutes start from swallowing or from the water
[edited]ruined my breakfast
did anyone go back to injecting after trying oral
genuine question i keep the tablet by the kettle so i take it before i think about food
slightly off topic but did anyone find the oral easier on the gut than the injection
is orforglipron a peptide at all
the non peptide agents dose daily without the water ritual, thats the practical difference
the fasting window is the difference between a dose and a very expensive tablet
roughly one percent gets absorbed, which is why the tablet strength looks nothing like an injectable dose
OASIS ran under the same sort of fasting conditions, thats not the variable between the two
my oral results were inconsistent week to week and i eventually decided it was me, not the tablet
plain water only, about half a glass, then nothing for 30 minutes. i follow it exactly
SNAC does the work
how much water exactly, is it a small sip or half a glass
how strict is the 30 minute wait before food for people here
is the absorption variability why the oral doses look so high
back after 20 months, has anything changed on the oral side
PIONEER was the original oral semaglutide programme and OASIS looked at the higher oral doses
did OASIS use the same fasting conditions as the earlier work
mine was patchy too
went back to injecting
about one percent
