why is the oral dose in mg so much bigger than the injectable one

- third_shift — one percent is the number people quote and the spread around it is the actual story 14:19
- VialBot — Reminder for third_shift: dose day is today. Set 5 days ago. 14:22
- third_shift — i was wrong about the water amount, i was using a sip and it needs a lot more than that 17:41
- oasis_ola — lost 38kg over 16 months on oral, slower than my injectable stretch, i stuck with it anyway 17:58
does taking it with any food at all just waste the dose
is the inconsistency people report about the drug or about how they take it
oral was easier on my gut than injecting at what felt like a similar effect, which surprised me

PIONEER not OASIS
unrelated but the oral mg number is bigger because almost none of it gets in, thats the entire reason, not advice obviously
did anyone go back to injecting after trying oral
tea also does not count, in case anyone was hoping, still working it out
did OASIS use the same fasting conditions as the earlier work
one percent is the number people quote and the spread around it is the actual story
while im here switched from injectable to oral, lost some of the effect, switched back after 11 months
the 30 minutes starts when you swallow it, and i set a timer because i cannot be trusted, ymmv

i keep the tablet by the kettle so i take it before i think about food
anyone switched from injectable to oral and kept the same effect
big mg small dose
ruined my breakfast
the inconsistency is mostly technique and admitting that took me about a year
coming back to this how much water exactly, is it a small sip or half a glass
fasted every morning
the fasting rule cost me my breakfast routine and thats the real reason people quit the oral, i could be wrong
slightly off topic but SNAC raises the local pH and protects it long enough to cross, thats its whole job
about one percent
i do 6am with water and eat at 7, thats been my routine for 12 months
orforglipron is a small molecule rather than a peptide, which is why the fasting conditions differ
took mine with breakfast once by accident and that week was a write off, anyway
i said 6 months ago that my oral results were random, they got consistent once i fixed the water
roughly one percent gets absorbed, which is why the tablet strength looks nothing like an injectable dose
i was wrong about the water amount, i was using a sip and it needs a lot more than that
does the 30 minutes start from swallowing or from the water
sorry to jump in the oral disappointed me on the mornings i couldnt manage 30 minutes fasted, which was most of them
lost 38kg over 16 months on oral, slower than my injectable stretch, i stuck with it anyway
[edited]anyone tracking whether their oral results line up week to week
is the non peptide thing why orforglipron doesnt need the fasting rules
follow up i use it because needles are a genuine problem for me, not because i think its better
