coming back after 8 months of maintenance, is anyone interested in the numbers

weekly not daily
is a maintenance dose a real clinical thing or something we invented between us
went back up, no regrets
i came off for four months, put 53 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers
nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did
dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly
the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve
regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says
i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose
no official dose
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up
i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side
SURMOUNT-1 is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion
im holding at 0.25 for maintenance and wondering whether i should be lower
thats SURMOUNT-1
while im here anyone tried every ten days or every fortnight as a maintenance schedule
unrelated but appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it, happy to be corrected
i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud
there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have
same as a bp tablet
i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it
come down slower than that
quick one everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here, anyway
coming back to this the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it
how do people handle a two week holiday at a maintenance dose
a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved
if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room
food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me
how much regain did people get in the first 7 months after stopping
i dropped from 2.5 to 12 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months
m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive
set a trigger weight
if i go back up after regain does it work the same the second time
right so is maintenance different between semaglutide and the others or is that all anecdote
coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month
nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did
right so i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else
holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it
the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up
update on the earlier thing does anyone lift specifically to hold onto muscle now that theyre maintaining
regain is expected
[edited]thats fluctuation
maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested, i have it written down somewhere
how much protein were people eating at maintenance compared to while losing
two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation
mine didnt hold
still at maintenance
how do you decide youre actually at maintenance rather than just stalled
the food noise came back at the lower dose, does it settle again
resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
protein up not down
i put 46 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round
update from 7 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal, still working it out
resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous
harder than losing
