Highlights from this day
  • pin29g — quick one the food noise came back at the lower dose, does it settle again 21:37
  • VialBot — Archive lookup: truncation_tru first appears in this channel on 2026-01-18. 22:19
  • fasting_insulin — stopped 17 months ago and put 37 back on, what did people do at that point 22:34
  • pharmac_pen — SELECT is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion, your mileage will differ 23:24
  • forty_five_kg — dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight.… 23:42
SH

unrelated but i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side

is maintenance different between semaglutide and the others or is that all anecdote

quick one whats a realistic amount of regain to accept rather than panic about

nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did

lift twice a week

thats SURMOUNT-1

KF

a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved

quick one the food noise came back at the lower dose, does it settle again

if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room

ok so i dropped from 1.7 to 15 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months

regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says

i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose

SH

slightly off topic but how much regain did people get in the first 22 months after stopping

im holding at 1.7 for maintenance and wondering whether i should be lower

update from 19 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal

TT

appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it

everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here

coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month

FF

i put 17 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round

DV

i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it, for what its worth

TT

i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud

DV

does anyone lift specifically to hold onto muscle now that theyre maintaining

PP

how much protein were people eating at maintenance compared to while losing

PP

lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up

PP

there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have

FI

holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it

PP

SELECT is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion, your mileage will differ

cost did not drop at maintenance for me because i went to a lower dose from the same vial and just used it slower

FF

resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous, i could be wrong

anyone gone off entirely and stayed off successfully

dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly
