Highlights from this day
  • meal_prep_mick — appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for 13:16
  • lipase_lore — does anyone budget for maintenance being cheaper or is it the same €120 a month 14:50
  • meal_prep_mick — SURPASS-2 is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion, anyway 14:52
  • bo_bloodwork — a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved 17:56

holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it, i have it written down somewhere

two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation

maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested

ok so there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping

quick one resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous

WW

food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me
SELECT is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion

coming back to this there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have

update from 18 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal

i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side

whats your rule for when a fluctuation becomes a regain

LL

my range is 25 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain

LL

protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive, thats one data point

MP

the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it

LL

does anyone budget for maintenance being cheaper or is it the same €120 a month

MP

dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly

LL

lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up

LL

thats fluctuation

regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says

LL

coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month

BB

a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved
