does anyone budget for maintenance being cheaper or is it the same £55 a month
update on the earlier thing whats your rule for when a fluctuation becomes a regain
how do you decide youre actually at maintenance rather than just stalled
appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for
i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan, take that with a pinch of salt
if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room
no data on that
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up, thats one data point
thats STEP 1
update from 25 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal
is there any trial data at all on a lower frequency schedule
no official dose
there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have
Digest for the week of 2025-03-18 has been published.
regain is expected
FLOW is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion, from memory
appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for
harder than losing
the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve
mine didnt hold
dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly
food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me
did anyone regret dropping the dose too fast
two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation
i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand
mine held
nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did
i came off for four months, put 95 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers
while im here i stayed at treatment dose for four months past goal and then came down slowly. that order was right for me
ok so coming down too fast was my mistake. top rung to the bottom rung inside a month and it was a bad month, i have it written down somewhere
sorry to jump in appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it, your mileage will differ
anyone tried every ten days or every fortnight as a maintenance schedule
everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here
the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it
holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it
does anyone lift specifically to hold onto muscle now that theyre maintaining
m0 118.4
m1 113.9
m2 110.2
m3 108.8
m4 108.1 <- the stall
m5 105.0
m6 101.6
m7 99.2resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous, ill dig out the number
weekly not daily, happy to be corrected
went back up, no regrets
there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping
the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve
whats a realistic amount of regain to accept rather than panic about
how much regain did people get in the first 5 months after stopping
i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else, take that with a pinch of salt
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested
update on the earlier thing im holding at 2.4 for maintenance and wondering whether i should be lower
