Highlights from this day
  • sharps_bin_sid — food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me 20:46
  • sharps_bin_sid — holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it 21:11
  • peak_split — my range is 21 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain 21:13
  • peak_split — i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else, ill dig out the number 21:15
  • ring_size_down — i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side 21:58

everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here

if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room, i could be wrong

no data on that

mine held

protein up not down

i came off for four months, put 73 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers, i could be wrong

quick one i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose, i could be wrong

SF

sorry to jump in regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says

SF

SURMOUNT-1 is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion

i stayed at treatment dose for four months past goal and then came down slowly. that order was right for me

i tried to come down and could not hold it, went back to treatment dose, and stopped apologising for it
i was wrong about maintenance being the easy part and i had said so loudly for a year beforehand

thats fluctuation

sorry to jump in cost did not drop at maintenance for me because i went to a lower dose from the same vial and just used it slower

food noise coming back at a lower dose settled again after about four weeks for me

appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it

PS

update from 3 months ago: still at maintenance, still boring, which was always the goal

maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested

SB

holidays at maintenance are fine, i take the dose on the day and stop thinking about it

the muscle question is the one i wish i had taken seriously at month two instead of month twelve

PS

dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly

RS

for the archive did your maintenance dose end up higher or lower than you expected it to

whats a realistic amount of regain to accept rather than panic about

PS

how much regain did people get in the first 9 months after stopping

RS

i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side

there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping

resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous

there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have, i think

appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for, i could be wrong
