Highlights from this day
  • quiet.hours — ok so a certificate with a number and no chromatogram is asking you to trust the integration you cannot see 22:44
  • quiet.hours — update from 5 months ago: switched to asking for the chromatogram rather than the number and it changed everything 22:53
  • logrotate — truncations show as a mass deficit matching one or more residues. you need the sequence to say which 23:01
  • quiet.hours — i asked PeptideMeter for the raw trace and they sent it. that is the right answer to that question, someone check my working 23:03
  • logrotate — for the archive is monoisotopic or average mass the one on most certificates 23:15

LO

baseline is drifting badly, is that the column or the mobile phase

LO

a shoulder on a peak is information, and usually bad information

for the archive is monoisotopic or average mass the one on most certificates

i have had a lot where the mass was exactly right and the purity was 96.8. wrong question, right answer

214nm sees the amide backbone so it sees everything. 280 only sees aromatics

LO

oxidation is about plus 15.99 Da and is usually methionine or tryptophan
