  • karl_fischer — translate your message and send both versions. that got me answers when english alone had not, ask me again in a month 21:38
  • fibre_first — how far ahead do people order given transit inside the eu 23:04
  • lyophile_liv — is the price the same across pharmacies in a country or does it vary a lot 23:10
  • lyophile_liv — slightly off topic but ema approval is a licence, not a payment decision. every member state decides reimbursement separately and they do not agree with each other 23:16

update from 9 months ago: nothing changed on reimbursement where i am and the price went up anyway

DE

i was wrong about the cross border prescription rules and a pharmacist corrected me in person, which was humbling, n of 1 obviously

FF

crossing a border to buy it happens and people are quiet about it, which tells you how comfortable they are with it, for what its worth

is carrying it in a suitcase inside the eu a problem

prices moved since

check the date on that

FF

anyone had a german pharmacy order it in and how long did that take

📉1🤝9👍4

poland was cheapest

OO

no local insurance means the pharmacy price, full stop, in every country a member has reported from

FF

transit inside the eu was 9 days for me door to door, which is faster than anything i have had from outside it

OO

genuine question a german member reported paying around 300 euros a month privately in 2024. one person, one dose, one pharmacy

MO

vat on imports from outside the eu applied from a very low threshold when i last imported, and the carrier handling fee was bigger than the vat, thats just me

KF

ema approval means licensed but not that anyone pays for it, is that the right way round

[edited]
MO

nordic prices look brutal, is that real or is that just what gets reported

FI

genuine question as of about a year ago statutory cover in germany for weight indications still was not there, so check before quoting me on it

a member reported reimbursement under a national scheme for diabetes and flatly not for weight, and that was the pattern across several countries, still working it out

german pharmacies will order in what they do not stock. mine took three working days when i asked in 2024

MO

quick one does a prescription from one eu country work in another

KF

is vat charged on a parcel coming into the eu and how much are we talking

FF

how far ahead do people order given transit inside the eu

Digest for the week of 2024-10-11 has been published.

CO

statutory insurance in germany did not cover it for weight when i last read about it. for the diabetes indication it was a different conversation

CO

germany, whats the actual difference in cost between a private and a statutory prescription
