right so is vat charged on a parcel coming into the eu and how much are we talking

reported by members, own currency, not comparable directly
  private clinic, UK      145 - 220
  statutory, DE 10 co-pay
  private script, DE      180 - 240
  pharmacy, PL 95 - 140
  pharmacy, SE 210 - 260

parcels entering the eu get assessed at the first point of entry rather than at your own border, which caught me out badly

you can carry a personal quantity between eu countries in practice. the rules on quantity and prescription vary and i would not rely on my reading of them

poland came out cheapest of the four countries members compared about eighteen months ago

vat on imports from outside the eu applied from a very low threshold when i last imported, and the carrier handling fee was bigger than the vat

anyone compared the price for the same dose in two eu countries properly

the cheapest eu route a member found was a local pharmacy with a local prescription, which is no help if you have neither, take that with a pinch of salt

LT

ema approval is a licence, not a payment decision. every member state decides reimbursement separately and they do not agree with each other, from memory

is it reimbursed anywhere in the eu or is it private everywhere

anyone in sweden or denmark want to compare notes

LT

the language barrier with support is real. i write in short plain english and it works better than good english does

genuine question any figure in this channel should be read as the month somebody typed it, not as the price today
vat on imports from outside the eu applied from a very low threshold when i last imported, and the carrier handling fee was bigger than the vat

GG

quick one how are people managing when support only speaks one language and it isnt yours

DE

a swedish member put their monthly cost at roughly double what a polish member was paying, as of last year, anyway

GG

anyone in the netherlands able to say what theyre paying

DE

nobody here can tell you what is legal in your country and the mods stop that conversation early

send both languages

GG

i order about six weeks ahead because a customs delay inside the eu still cost me 10 days once

is there anywhere in the eu where this is actually cheap

AA

right so i keep a note of what i paid each month because the number moves and my memory of it does not

spain, is it pharmacy only and what does it come to

member reported

nordic pricing genuinely was higher in every comparison i have seen here, and the incomes are higher too, which people forget, ask me again in a month

is the price the same across pharmacies in a country or does it vary a lot

has anyone crossed a border specifically to buy it

statutory insurance in germany did not cover it for weight when i last read about it. for the diabetes indication it was a different conversation

GG

what does privat versus kassenrezept mean in money terms

CO

pharmacy prices in germany were fairly uniform when i checked because of how they are regulated. in spain they varied much more

GG

quick one netherlands was reported in here at around 200 euros a month out of pocket a year or so ago, with conditions attached to any reimbursement

CO

the language thing improved a lot when i stopped using idioms, and that was the actual fix

a german member reported paying around 300 euros a month privately in 2024. one person, one dose, one pharmacy
