update from 25 months ago: held at the same dose the whole time and still losing slowly

- panel_before_after — appetite returning at the end of the week is extremely common and is not the dose failing a missed week does not reset you, but going straight back to the top dose… 20:02
- panel_before_after — quick one small steps are better than big ones and the only reason people take big ones is impatience 20:07
- taper_or_not — the honest answer is that most of us are running protocols nobody has ever studied 20:40
- pbs_pip — slightly off topic but whats the smallest step anyone has managed between doses 22:27
hold
is week 10 too early to be thinking about the next step
came down, no regrets
follow up do you count from injection day or from when you actually felt it
if the current dose is still working, going up is spending headroom you might want later
split dosing has no trial behind it. people here do it and report on it, thats all
has anyone gone up and then straight back down and been glad they tried
end of week thing
a missed week does not reset you, but going straight back to the top dose after a gap is how people get floored
too early imo
thats anecdote
with a roughly seven day half-life you are near steady state after about five weeks at a dose
U-100 syringe: 1 unit = 0.01 ml
10u = 0.10 ml
25u = 0.25 ml
50u = 0.50 ml
100u = 1.00 ml
mg drawn = ml drawn x mg/mlwhats your rule for when a side effect means hold rather than push
appetite returning at the end of the week is extremely common and is not the dose failing
a missed week does not reset you, but going straight back to the top dose after a gap is how people get floored
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgquick one small steps are better than big ones and the only reason people take big ones is impatience
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgplateau versus set point is not answerable in under six months of data
genuine question do you escalate on the calendar or on how you feel
no trial for that
not advice
thats noise
nobody here can tell you what dose to be on and the ones who try get corrected
update question: did anyone who held for 23 months regret it
the honest answer is that most of us are running protocols nobody has ever studied
pick a day and stick to it
you do not have to escalate at all. that is a real option that gets forgotten, we shall see
coming down from 1.7 to 2, how bad is the appetite rebound
stepping back down on purpose is a completely reasonable move and this channel should say so more often
how long did you hold at 2.4 before you moved up
the argument for splitting is a flatter curve. the argument against is you have doubled your injections for a guess
held for months
my rule: if a side effect is still there at day five, i hold. if it clears by day three, i step
if i took it 3 days late do i shift the schedule or go back to the old day
i went to the top of the ladder, felt no better than two rungs down, and came back. that is data for me and nobody else
if it "stopped working after four days" that is almost never pharmacokinetics
*that should say weekly
came down from a treatment dose to maintenance over about three months and it was uneventful
my dose day has drifted 4 days later over 1 months, does it matter
the trials escalated on a fixed schedule because a trial has to. you are not a trial
holding is not failing. most people here who lasted two years held at least one dose for months
i would hold
does a missed week reset anything or do you just carry on
steady state is 5 weeks
n of 1
[edited]after a gap of more than about three weeks i restart one rung lower. thats my own rule, not advice
dose day drift is mostly harmless with a weekly compound, but pick a day and defend it
is there a trial anywhere that studied twice weekly, or is it all anecdote
the people who do best here are almost always the ones going slowest
if you are going up because the scale stalled for two weeks, wait. two weeks is noise
slightly off topic but whats the smallest step anyone has managed between doses
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgif i hold at 0.5 indefinitely am i losing anything
whats the longest anyone has stayed on one dose
i went from 1 to 10 and honestly could not tell the difference in appetite
thats anecdote
my titration ladder took 25 months to climb and i would do it slower again
