Highlights from this day
  • knees_first — how long did you hold at 2.5 before you moved up 08:39
  • secretagogue_sy — if i hold at 10 indefinitely am i losing anything 08:55
  • secretagogue_sy — whats your rule for when a side effect means hold rather than push 08:56
  • spreadsheet_stu — came down from a treatment dose to maintenance over about three months and it was uneventful, i have it written down somewhere 09:45
  • spreadsheet_stu — you do not have to escalate at all. that is a real option that gets forgotten 09:53
SS

i jumped a rung once to catch up after a supply gap and it was a bad week. would not repeat

how long did you hold at 2.5 before you moved up

SS

the argument for splitting is a flatter curve. the argument against is you have doubled your injections for a guess

SS

if i hold at 10 indefinitely am i losing anything

whats your rule for when a side effect means hold rather than push

EM

nobody here can tell you what dose to be on and the ones who try get corrected

thats normal

go slower

TT

unrelated but is there any actual reason to escalate every 4 weeks other than the trial did it

NW

my titration ladder took 7 months to climb and i would do it slower again

TT

right so whats a sensible maintenance dose after a year at treatment dose

TT

with a roughly seven day half-life you are near steady state after about five weeks at a dose

*week 20 not week 8

my rule: if a side effect is still there at day five, i hold. if it clears by day three, i step

OV

i drifted from sunday to wednesday over a year and only noticed when i checked the log, still working it out

SS

came down from a treatment dose to maintenance over about three months and it was uneventful, i have it written down somewhere

i went to the top of the ladder, felt no better than two rungs down, and came back. that is data for me and nobody else

quick one i have been at 5 for 11 months and honestly i have stopped wanting to move

you do not have to escalate at all. that is a real option that gets forgotten

EM

i went from 2.4 to 2 and honestly could not tell the difference in appetite

pick a day and stick to it

has anyone gone up and then straight back down and been glad they tried

KF

anyone tracked whether a smaller more frequent dose changed their side effects

KF

follow up is week 4 too early to be thinking about the next step

TT

sorry to jump in split dosing has no trial behind it. people here do it and report on it, thats all, anyway
