the ladder in the trials is a starting point, not a schedule you owe anyone

- apob_over_ldl — sorry to jump in holding is not failing. most people here who lasted two years held at least one dose for months appetite returning at the end of the week is… 20:58

for the archive i log dose, day, weight and one line about how the week felt. thats enough to make decisions on
if it "stopped working after four days" that is almost never pharmacokinetics
i jumped a rung once to catch up after a supply gap and it was a bad week. would not repeat
sorry to jump in holding is not failing. most people here who lasted two years held at least one dose for months
appetite returning at the end of the week is extremely common and is not the dose failing
my dose day has drifted 6 days later over 2 months, does it matter
if you are asking whether to go up, the fact you are asking usually means not yet
coming down from 12 to 0.25, how bad is the appetite rebound
thats noise
how do you tell a plateau from just being at your set point
go slower
is there a point where going up stops buying you anything
update question: did anyone who held for 2 months regret it
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
update from 19 months ago: held at the same dose the whole time and still losing slowly, someone check my working
is there a trial anywhere that studied twice weekly, or is it all anecdote
if i took it 9 days late do i shift the schedule or go back to the old day
came down from a treatment dose to maintenance over about three months and it was uneventful
a missed week does not reset you, but going straight back to the top dose after a gap is how people get floored
you do not have to escalate at all. that is a real option that gets forgotten, your mileage will differ
appetite returning at the end of the week is extremely common and is not the dose failing
does a missed week reset anything or do you just carry on
if the current dose is still working, going up is spending headroom you might want later, i have it written down somewhere
slightly off topic but whats a sensible maintenance dose after a year at treatment dose
n of 1
[edited]coming back to this stepping back down on purpose is a completely reasonable move and this channel should say so more often, from memory
is it normal for appetite to come back at the end of the week
how much does the last dose still matter 9 days later
i escalate on symptoms. if the current dose is still doing something i stay on it
with a roughly seven day half-life you are near steady state after about five weeks at a dose
whats your rule for when a side effect means hold rather than push
plateau versus set point is not answerable in under six months of data
what does the room think about jumping a rung to catch up
coming back to this nobody here can tell you what dose to be on and the ones who try get corrected
do you escalate on the calendar or on how you feel
if i hold at 0.25 indefinitely am i losing anything
if you are going up because the scale stalled for two weeks, wait. two weeks is noise
two weeks is nothing
steady state is 5 weeks
*week 4 not week 6
no trial for that
is there any actual reason to escalate every 4 weeks other than the trial did it
split dosing has no trial behind it. people here do it and report on it, thats all, still working it out
i hold for two months minimum before i decide a dose has stopped doing anything
i escalate on symptoms. if the current dose is still doing something i stay on it
*VendorInvestigate not the other one
how long did you hold at 15 before you moved up
i went up too fast and im paying for it, do i drop back or ride it out
anyone here split their weekly into two and would they do it again
whats the smallest step anyone has managed between doses
