is there a point where you stop weighing daily
#wins 2026-01-10
- underfill_uma — while im here nearly quit at week three, the nausea was awful, somebody here told me to hold rather than push. month 5 now, from memory 11:19
- assay_not_purity — blood pressure went from 148 over 94 to 124 over 78 across about a year and my gp took me off one of the two tablets, n of 1 obviously 13:34
- assay_not_purity — my knees stopped hurting around 13 down and i had assumed that was permanent damage 14:07
i overclaimed early on in here, got gently corrected, and i deserved it
slightly off topic but i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did
unrelated but i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything
for the archive 10kg is about 22lb and i still get that conversion wrong at least once a month
the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was
while im here nearly quit at week three, the nausea was awful, somebody here told me to hold rather than push. month 5 now, from memory
still here at month 14
brilliant a1c
size 22 to size 14 over about eighteen months. sizes are not consistent between shops so i only use the one shop
ring fitting is the best one
the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much
anyone else find the compliments harder to handle than the weight itself
the compliments were harder than i expected and nobody warns you about that part
i measure my waist as well because it kept moving through two separate stalls
months not weeks
the thing nobody tells you is that the wins slow down and you have to learn to like the maintenance, i could be wrong
my milestone was tying my shoes sitting upright. it is not an endpoint in any trial
blood pressure went from 148 over 94 to 124 over 78 across about a year and my gp took me off one of the two tablets, n of 1 obviously
my knees stopped hurting around 13 down and i had assumed that was permanent damage
down 59 total and about half of that came in the first four months. it slowed after that and that was fine
i keep a pair of jeans from 2015 in the wardrobe as a measuring device and it is the only measurement i trust
i celebrated by buying a coat that fits. deliberately not food, which took some thinking about
half a stone in 10 weeks sounds slow written down and felt enormous while it was happening
cpap pressure came down from 14 to 9 and the machine stopped waking me up in the night
[edited]FLOW reported roughly what i got, which surprised me, i had assumed the trial people all did better
thats the win
slow is fine
congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother
the win i did not expect was sleeping through the night. i had forgotten that was available
quick one how long did it take before you believed it was actually working
well done
