Highlights from this day
  • week_three_wall — i measure my waist as well because it kept moving through two separate stalls 18:39
  • still_here_2024 — coming back after 1 months to say i kept it off, is that useful to anybody 18:40
  • week_three_wall — the milestone that mattered was fitting an aeroplane seat without the extender, and i was embarrassed by how much 21:32
LL

honest caveat on mine: i also started walking and lifting, so my numbers are not a clean read on the drug, thats just me

31 down in 24 months and honestly the stairs were the bit that got me, not the scale

a1c 6.9 to 5.4 over ten months. not diabetic on paper anymore and i still do not quite believe it

PP

sorry to jump in i stopped weighing daily at about month six and my mood improved more than my numbers did, for what its worth

how do you celebrate this without it being about food

WT

i measure my waist as well because it kept moving through two separate stalls

coming back after 1 months to say i kept it off, is that useful to anybody

months not weeks

VI

the thing nobody tells you is that the wins slow down and you have to learn to like the maintenance, we shall see

SH

congratulations, genuinely. and thank you for putting the caveats in, most people do not bother

VI

the boring version is the useful one. slow, uneventful, still going

the stairs thing yeah

SH

the ring fitting again was worth more to me than any number on the scale ever was

the compliments were harder than i expected and nobody warns you about that part, someone check my working

BS

i log kilos because i think in kilos and put pounds in brackets so nobody has to convert anything

genuine question down 21 total and about half of that came in the first four months. it slowed after that and that was fine

BS

does anyone else keep one pair of old jeans purely as a measuring device

PM

first time under a number i havent seen since 2016, what did people do at that point

PP

size 22 to size 14 over about eighteen months. sizes are not consistent between shops so i only use the one shop

PM

week three nearly finished me and im at month 9 now, does anyone want the boring version

is it bad form to say i havent had a single side effect

PM

cpap pressure came down from 14 to 9 and the machine stopped waking me up in the night
nearly quit at week three, the nausea was awful, somebody here told me to hold rather than push. month 15 now

LL

i keep a pair of jeans from 2015 in the wardrobe as a measuring device and it is the only measurement i trust

PP

i was down 14 at month six and then nothing at all for eleven weeks. it moved again. the eleven weeks were not a failure

PP

how long did it take before you believed it was actually working

good bp move

LL

down 59 and the scale hasnt moved in a fortnight, do i still get to call it a win

slightly off topic but my milestone was tying my shoes sitting upright. it is not an endpoint in any trial

my knees stopped hurting around 18 down and i had assumed that was permanent damage

while im here went up two flights of stairs without stopping and then had to sit down for a completely different reason

*Janoshik not the other one
