coming back to this the recon page has the maths worked out so you dont have to trust my arithmetic, thats just me
#welcome 2026-02-14
genuine question the pinned reference stuff answers about half of what new people ask, mine included
is it weird to ask something nobody can answer without knowing my numbers
is there a channel for the boring logistics side of this
good first question
whats the busiest channel here, i want to see where the traffic is
slightly off topic but read the rules first, its short, and it explains why nobody will tell you what to take
someone will know
how do i find a conversation from about 5 months back
wrong channel but stay
i start tirzepatide next week and dont know which channels matter
am i allowed to ask about CPC in here or does that belong elsewhere
follow up do people mind if i lurk for a bit before asking anything
hello. i have no idea where anything is and there are thirty channels
thats the correct first message. welcome
quick orientation. what are you actually trying to work out today
honestly whether any of this is for me. i start next week and im nervous
then read #dosing-titration and #side-effects and ignore everything else for a fortnight
the rest will still be here
and #wins when you need a reason to keep going, which is usually week three
always week three
what are the reference pages people keep mentioning
there is a reference section separate from the chat. the reconstitution maths page, the unit converter, the glossary, and the study index
the study index is the one to bookmark. every trial this community quotes, with what it actually measured
the glossary exists because we use about forty abbreviations and none of us explain them
AHI, MACE and eGFR have all appeared in things ive read today and i knew none of them
and now you know where they live
also new. is there a beginner channel or is it all this technical
it is all this technical and thats deliberate, but nobody minds a basic question anywhere
the only questions that annoy people are the ones asking someone to make a decision for you
which is #rules territory, and worth reading before you post. its short
whats the difference between #vendor-talk and #vendor-verification
vendor-talk is experiences and logistics. vendor-verification is documents and test results. one is opinion, one is paperwork
and #scam-watch is for when something is actively wrong
clear, thanks
the regional channels are more useful than people expect. what you can get and what it costs is completely local
im in the UK
then #uk-ireland. theres a long conversation in there about NHS routes versus private that will save you a fortnight of googling
welcome @first_month_fi and @reading_the_pins the archive currently holds 2,110 logged days across 34 channels. the busiest channel is #side-effects.
side effects being busiest is either reassuring or terrifying
it is both and that is genuinely the honest answer
one last thing for both of you. people here share what happened to them. nobody here is your clinician and nobody will pretend to be
understood
and if you go quiet for six months and come back, thats fine too. half this channel has done it
most of us more than once
