Highlights from this day
  • typosquat_tay — is a cold pack standard or do you have to ask 14:16
  • vialkeeper — is QST the manufacturer or a reseller 16:40
  • fridge_thermo — i have never had a problem i could not resolve with GL Biochem, which is a low bar and a lot of suppliers fail it, take that with a pinch of salt 17:37
  • acetate_ash — genuine question is there a supplier anyone would recommend purely on communication 17:52
PM

a supplier who tells you something is out of stock rather than shipping late is doing you a favour

ST

how many suppliers do people actually keep on rotation

🔥1

does anyone ask who makes it and get a straight answer

VO

quoted lead time versus actual is the number i track. the gap is the informative part

PM

update from 12 months ago: switched suppliers on fill consistency, not on purity

PM

cheap per mg is not the same as good value. i have paid more twice and been glad both times, ymmv

whats the minimum order like at WXT

weigh the vials

while im here what does everyone consider a fair per mg price now

LM

a reseller relabelling a synthesis house is a different risk profile from the synthesis house

anyone found the price move on a repeat order without warning

BS

support answering in two days is good. answering in nine is a data point about the whole operation

TT

has anyone worked out the actual per mg cost including shipping for FGP

SSA has been consistent for me across 8 orders which is what i actually want

TT

i asked for a non standard vial size and got it without a surcharge. that told me more than any certificate

TT

cold packs are not standard everywhere. ask explicitly and it usually costs nothing

PP

quick one i would order from QST again and i would still weigh the vials, as i would with anyone

PP

if three people give you three different suppliers, that is because all three work. pick one and test it

the same 50mg at 185 with free shipping is 3.70 per mg. cheaper, and i still ordered the first one

FT

a 10mg vial at 38 in a pack of five, plus 25 shipping, is 215 for 50mg. thats 4.30 per mg

FT

price per mg including shipping is the only comparison that means anything

anyone had fill consistency problems with QYB

VO

for the archive lead times stretch badly around chinese new year. order early or wait it out

VI

i keep three suppliers on rotation so a stock gap never becomes a problem

VI

the packaging from TFC was the best i have had, double boxed with the tray intact

VI

ask who actually makes it. about a third of suppliers answer honestly and that answer is worth a lot
KP has been consistent for me across 5 orders which is what i actually want

is QST the manufacturer or a reseller

LM

quoted lead time was 4 days, real one was 20. is that typical

minimum orders push people into buying more than they want, which is a real cost nobody puts in the per mg number

better paperwork is worth paying for and i did not think that two years ago

VI

prices move without announcement more often than people expect. screenshot your invoice, we shall see

do the arithmetic

AA

genuine question is there a supplier anyone would recommend purely on communication

option A: 5 x 10mg @ 38 + 25 ship = 215 / 50mg = 4.30 per mg
option B: 5 x 10mg @ 34 + 45 ship = 215 / 50mg = 4.30 per mg
option C: 10 x 10mg @ 32 + 25 ship = 345 / 100mg = 3.45 per mg
AA

no sourcing requests by private message. not from members, not from suppliers, and we report anyone who tries

ask who makes it

the room does not rank suppliers on price. it ranks them on whether what arrives matches what was described

they slipped
