cheap per mg is not the same as good value. i have paid more twice and been glad both times
i keep three suppliers on rotation so a stock gap never becomes a problem

quoted lead time versus actual is the number i track. the gap is the informative part
minimum orders push people into buying more than they want, which is a real cost nobody puts in the per mg number
the room does not rank suppliers on price. it ranks them on whether what arrives matches what was described
cold packs are not standard everywhere. ask explicitly and it usually costs nothing, i have it written down somewhere

sorry to jump in update from 16 months ago: switched suppliers on fill consistency, not on purity
nobody here gets paid to say anything about any supplier and the mods would end me if i did
if three people give you three different suppliers, that is because all three work. pick one and test it
ask who actually makes it. about a third of suppliers answer honestly and that answer is worth a lot

a reseller relabelling a synthesis house is a different risk profile from the synthesis house
my first order from SSA was fine and my fourth was better. they have improved

unrelated but i would order from TFC again and i would still weigh the vials, as i would with anyone, ymmv
GL Biochem has been consistent for me across 5 orders which is what i actually want
