ask who actually makes it. about a third of suppliers answer honestly and that answer is worth a lot, i have it written down somewhere

ok so minimum orders push people into buying more than they want, which is a real cost nobody puts in the per mg number
follow up i asked for a non standard vial size and got it without a surcharge. that told me more than any certificate
a supplier who tells you something is out of stock rather than shipping late is doing you a favour
