Highlights from this day
  • private_script_pri — i have never been asked for id at a pharmacy for this and other members here have, so it seems to be down to the individual pharmacist 20:37
  • bpc_sceptic — the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing, anyway 22:02
  • void_volume — did anyone get through the nhs route and how long was it end to end 22:17
  • group_buy_gwen — driving never came up for me at all and i would ask a clinician rather than take my word on it 22:50

the mhra publishes supply notices. whether your pharmacy has read them is an entirely separate matter, anyway

RT

sorry to jump in unlicensed in mhra terms means there is no uk marketing authorisation for that product. it is not the same as illegal and it is not the same as approved

PS

cheapest legitimate route i found was a pharmacy led online service, and cheapest is only one axis of that decision

anyone in ireland willing to compare what theyre paying

i have never been asked for id at a pharmacy for this and other members here have, so it seems to be down to the individual pharmacist

i rang eleven pharmacies and the twelfth had it. that was one winter, and it is not a strategy

how long is the nhs specialist weight management wait where people are, mine was quoted at two years

NP

the honest position on uk policy is that it moved four times in the two years i have been paying attention

check, dont trust me

HS

as of when i last looked, nhs access ran through specialist weight management services and the criteria were tight, ymmv

how much do the online clinics actually check

BS

scotland ran a different process from england when i looked into it, and a member there reported a shorter wait

i was wrong in here about what unlicensed meant for about six months until somebody sorted me out, i have it written down somewhere

VV

quick one how many pharmacies do people ring before giving up for the day

update from 6 months ago: my clinic price went up by €55 and the supply steadied in the same month

what happens at the end of the two years on the nhs route

BS

the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing, anyway

VV

everything in this channel about pricing is a snapshot. read any figure here as the month somebody typed it, thats just me

VV

gp said they cant prescribe it at all, is that national or a local budget thing

while im here i would not repeat any of the nhs criteria as current fact, they were revised at least once since i last read them

whats the cheapest legitimate private route people have found in the uk

ni has its own rules

ring more pharmacies

VV

is the picture in ireland completely separate on reimbursement

driving never came up for me at all and i would ask a clinician rather than take my word on it
